(very) small gig bags?

Post by kontrabass »

Can anyone recommend a gig bag that would suit a small F tuba, i.e. Yamaha 621?

Does anyone know if there is (on the opposite end of the spectrum) a stock case (ie not custom) for a horn with a 26" bell? I want to get a case for my Martin to carry it around, but I can't justify spending the money on a Cronkhite case for it right now...

I have used Altieri gigbags for the YFB-621 and the little Cerveny F I had. The Cerveny was a custom, and I think they use the same Yamaha 6 series bag for all the keys; the F just has more room on top (great for a mute).

If I had the disposable income, I would replace my current bags with Altieri models; they tend to ride higher on your back and work well for shorter people.

Glenn Cronkhite bags are the best you'll find for a custom fit. Normal delivery takes about 3 weeks for a custom made bag - guaranteed to fit like a glove.

Cheapest prices available at Just For Brass:

Hope this helps.
