Hi, everyone... I want to keep you informed of a project I am currently working on. The prolific American composer, Libby Larsen, has agreed to write a euphonium concerto with wind band accompaniment that I will be premiering with the U.S. Army Band at their Tuba/Euphonium conference in January 2010.
The commission, of course, is contingent upon the necessary funding. This is an opportunity for the euphonium community to capitalize on a tremendous opportunity to add a significant concerto to our repertoire. This is an expensive endeavor and I am hopeful we can make it happen.
