Bending Trigger Mechanism

I just acquired a MW-45Spls and the first thing I noticed is that the fifth valve trigger sits really high on the valve block, and no matter how much I move the thumb-ring or adjust the trigger linkage, I just can't find a comfortable position.
So this is a question for the repair gurus of the tubenet; how does one go about bending a trigger arm with out breaking it or ruining the silver finish? or is this something best left to the professionals?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

How much is it going to cost if you do it yourself and snap it off, or damage another part of the horn? Do you have the $$$ to spend on brand new parts, or a backup horn while the part takes 2 months to come in?

I don't.

Take it to the shop. It should only take a couple minutes of their time, and a couple bucks from you. Ask the other brass players in your area who they would recommend.
