BLAST! question

Post by Hank74 »

If any of you have seen the musical performance "Blast!", you would agree that it is a great show that anyone needs to see. I loved the pounding music and bright colors mixed in.

There is a question I want to ask any tuba player who might have been in the production of "Blast!" or are still involved. I would appreciate though if you use e-mail or private message.

BLAST! Tuba question

Post by Tuba-G Bass »

Hey Hank,

I know a Great Tuba player that was in Blast!

I played with him in a Brass festival this summer,
and a TubaChristmas in August.

Let me see if I can contact him and see
if he is game to field some questions.
Cheers,

I thought I had heard that they were gonna be stopping the show. Are they still going strong? If so, does anybody know how one might be able to get with the group?

I marched at Blue Devils in 98 and 99 with about half of the cast from blast. I marched with two of the tuba players. One's name is Tom Lukowicz. He is an adjuct at RCC for low brass, going to grad school at USC, and is currently teaching the santa clara vanguard tubas.

The other one's name is Trevor Gooch. He went to UT for a while, graduated then marched blast. I have no clue what he is doing now. I havent heard from him since about 2001.

If you cant find emails for thee people I can go look them up on the BD alumni registry.
