Star Wars in Concert!

Post by Z-Tuba Dude »

Has anybody caught the Star Wars show? I just saw it last night, and it was GREAT! If you have the opportunity, I would highly recommend it. I was not sure whether I would go (it costed more than going to the movies), but then I figured that it is probably going to be a one-time event. I am glad I went.

Just curious about the orchestra/tuba player (there were no printed programs). They did mention the "name" of the orchestra at the beginning of the show, but I suspect that it is a group that was put together for this event. They sounded great, and of course the music is way too cool! 8)

Does anybody know who is playing the tuba for this show? Some nice solo stuff (no Jabba, though! ).

My good friend Dave Powell is playing Tuba for the show and the Orchestra is the Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra.
It is as it is (just like it ever was)
