Finzi Repertoire??

Post by jmh3412 »

Does anyone know if there's a tuba part for Finzi's intimations of Immortality?? Coupled with a new commission I've turned down Carmina Burana (more money) have I done the right thing?? :!:
Composers shouldn't think too much -- it interferes with their plagiarism.

According to the Boosey and Hawkes web site this piece has tuba. They also say it is a large-scale choral work similar to Belshazzar's Feast. Any day of the week a British piece is better than Carmina Burana. None of Finzi's fine pieces are public domain in the US yet, so you will probably have to wait for the rental parts to get there.
