Is This an Offer - Up to You

Post by Ken Herrick »

Hey gang,

I'm getting old and cranky - as you've probably guessed from some of my posts. Thing is, I have "been there - done that" to a pretty fair degree and just hate seeing hard working younger players having to learn from the mistakes I had to learn from.

PROLLY, this should be in auditions or off topic but I reckon THIS is where it is most likely to be seen.

Before I fall off the perch and they put my boots upside down over a fence post to mark where the ants, foxes, and dingoes cleaned me up, I would really like to have at least one more student to whom I could pass on the things that people like Jake, Harvey, Rex Conner, Ren Schilke and a few others passed to me. As their student it was agreed that my task was to do likewise.

IF somebody would like to spend a few months in Australia - outside of the cities - and really work their butt off I would be happy (to say the least) to give them some very intensive private instruction. I can promise that if you make the effort you will go away a better player.

Cost???? Bring your tuba and a reasonable, playable one for me (the latter stays) and put in for food and such.

IF - BUT - ONLY IF you thought seriously about this, you could maybe ring Harvey to get confirmation on whether or not it would be worth it and you could post a verifiable guote either way.

(And yes, you could report back to here as you went.)

Just an offer....

If I were 25 years younger, I'd hop a plane tomorrow.
