Just a reflection

Doesn't it seem, sometimes, that being "professional" comes down to being enthusiastic about music that you're really not that enthusiastic about?

There´ve been long discussions on this forum on related subjects, such as "What makes a pro a pro".
As far as I´m concerned, it´s rather a question whether You´re so enthusiastic about what will be in the envelope that You´ll work your butt off to please the customer.
As an amateur, more often than not I found out that despite initial reserved feelings I "learned to like" pieces after practising them, resulting in not-so-bad performances.
Even "strange" compositions will reveal their beauty or thrill once you get the knack of them and take the trouble to understand how they might work.
