Schiller Tuba Models
I know that several members here have Schiller tubas, and I myself just purchased the 5 valve CC. The few tuba players I know seem to like it and the brand seems to be gathering steam. So I was wondering.....as these all seem to be copies of something else......of whos work are they copies? Anyone have any ideas on the models the valve versions are based on? Im curious to know as they seem to have quite a large number of offerings for what is at the moment a limited distribution company.

HI-
Schiller 5 rotary valve CC (and Dillon CC/Baltimore Brass JZ CC/Tuba Exchange CC/M&M CC 5v CC)-Miraphone 186-5U CC clone
Schiller 4 rotary valve BBb--Hirsbrunner HB-1 BBb clone (which I am told is at a European[?] A=443 tuning)
Schiller Elite Bb 4v Compensating Euphonium-Yamaha 642 Euph clone
That's all I know.

Re: Schiller Tuba Models
The HB1 copy IS ABSOLUTELY A=443.
