Tuba Prof at Stony Brook?

Are you talking about SUNY Stony Brook on LI? In the late 70's, I was the adjunct there. Then, they brought in guys from the city, Toby Hanks and/or Steve Johns to teach there one day a week, I think. There were never more than 1 or 2 tuba majors there at one time and they didn't offer a BM in mus. ed. either. I don't think they get many tuba majors, if any these days. I get called to play in the grad. student orch. from time to time.
