I don't have the youtube link but if you get a chance to listen to the Bernstein NYP Tchaik 6 from the 80's, do it! Warren sounds FANTASTIC in this!

Wellll....tooba wrote:Well since you and ZNCDandy say it's Tommy Johnson, I'll take your word for it. It's just confusingwhen you read and hear conflicting stories. I wish there would be a credit-roster for each film for the musicians who played on them. That way there would be no confusion and credit would be given to the correct player.
That said, I just listened to some Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom clips from Youtube. I knew for sure Johnson played on that, and when I listen closely the tuba sound is identical to the tuba sound on E.T. Amazing sound....I love it!![]()

Roger Bobo was actually the main participant on that recording, although Tommy did a couple of dates on it as well. This info came from Tommy himself. Although he didn't recall exactly which horn he was using, he thought it very well could've been his 190.

Thats from the mid-70's, too early for Warren Deck. However, Joe Novotny is playing awfully tasty tuba on this!tubaman1019 wrote:Heres the Tchaikovsky 6 I think you were looking for![]()
