Balu Abalone Valve Customization

Post by Tubadork »

Hey,
so the mute guy Ion Balu has come up with customized rotary valve caps. Check it out:

I want to get #6, it would be really sexy on my CC and #8 would be way sexy for my F. Yeah, I know, I'm a dork.

 While looking at the valve cap coverings, check out the latest development -- The Liquid Double Wall Leadpipe.

Let the discussion, debate, questions, polarization of opinions, and flaming begin! :P

(And do you want yours in raw brass, lacquer, or silver plate? Personally, such ideas from a new perspective intrigue me)

Damn, now you've given me something else to spend my money on. I think I'm going to have to get #3 (or maybe 10) for my rotary valve King.

When will they offer Mother of Pearl inlay for valve caps or rotary valve paddles? I want sustain like I get from my '64 Les Paul.

Ion's horn looks interesting and pretty scientific. When I did play the French horn, my technique and ability didn't stretch the Conn 6D I was given to play. A 6D's a pretty good horn for someone who is of moderate skill. I can't imagine I could tell the difference between it and one of these Balu creations.

Looks pretty cool, though...
