Happy New Year to all from up here in Washington State!

I will celebrate in my traditional fashion: At midnight, I will go out on my porch and play "Auld Lang Syne" to the neighborhood.

And I have a new/old 20J to do it with.

Happy New Year from Southern Indiana. Terri and I are tired of partying and started the evening with burgers at Steak 'n Shake. Going to watch 'Wall Street' tonight, eat some popcorn, and sip some single-malt.... at home!

Happy new year, everybody!
Glad to hear it's business as usual in Finland, it's +5°C (approx. 40°F) here and looks like even warmer weather ahead.

My friends and I have a similar tradition: Once the greatest wave of fireworks has died down, we go outside and everyone that can play an instrument joins in to play the most popular Icelandic new years hymn („Now this year has passed“ - actually a Danish hymn which Klaus would recognise as „Jeg lever og ved hvor længe fuldtrøst“) and those who haven't got instruments sing along.
