Kanstul 6/4 C
Does anyone think/know if Kanstul will be building a Yorkish 6/4 C?

Re: Kanstul 6/4 C
A new American made BAT CC would be a welcome surprise. I would think that they would be content with the 5(?) new models that have been put out in the last 2 years. It would be cool to have a complete stable all Kanstul; F, 4/4 CC, 6/4CC... what more would you need?

Interesting, those nickel connectors between bottom bow and bell and the height of the join more up the bell looks rather German in design to me (like the Neptune and PT-7, rather than York/Holton). Where are these actually made?

I believe these are german not chinese parts assembled at dillons by Matt "Master Builder" Walters at dillon's. Conn i have been told is working on a new CC not 6/4 but 5/4CC fat yorkish type profile in bows leading to a thick short flairish 19in bell not positive but heard this through the tuba grape vine which i have learned is wrong alot. Darn gossip!

Re: Kanstul 6/4 C
When I talked the Kanstul folks at their booth at the NAMM Show, they did say that Zig has designed and had the production equipment set up for making valve sets with a .750 bore. They are also making a replacement bell for the York/Holton/Nirschl 6/4 horns out of their new/old brass alloy. Being that they presently produce no tubas that use a .750 bore valve set or a 6/4 sized bell, it only makes sense that something must be in the works.
