Congratulations on your new horn, bort. The contrast between the gold brass body and nickel-silver valve section looks really nice. I dig the gold brass - my JBL is gold brass and I much prefer the response and tone color vs. similar horns in yellow brass.

Can you tell us the approximate age of this beauty?

Thanks! Guessing about 25 years old, since it is a Mirafone, with an F. haven't looked it up yet. S/n is 13xxx.

Those 188's are the most aesthetically pleasing horns ever built. 5th valve is really a stretch though, get it adjusted somehow before it messes up your hand!
