The German term for soft is actually "leise" (as in Isolde's "Mild und leise") - the English sound that corresponds to German "ei" is the "i" in "like".
"Liese" is an abbreviation of Elisabeth (as is Liesel or Liesl) and the corresponding English sound is the "ee" in "sleet".

When I made the change to CC I did a lot of sight reading on the new CC horn (actually an old custom made 1930's era KIng predicessor to the 1241 I named Annabelle). You need to simply force the mind to read in C. Do this in two halfhour to hour practice sessions a day and you'll be comfortable in several weeks.
