Old F Chops?

Does anyone have any pics or specs about some Eb to F conversions? So far i've seen Worschester/Conn F and a York/Rusk F.

The thing to remember is that if the horn doesn't play particularly well in it's original key, than it probably wont play well after it has been cut down.

Just something to think about.

And, if the horn plays well in it's original key, why cut it?

There was a Martin which was cut by Dillon music. It was cut from normal sized (4/4ish?) Martin E flat. I recall that it had a 17 inch bell and appeared to be fairly large for an F tuba. I think Cameron Gates owned it at one time.
