Price for Schilke Helleberg II
Not long ago, someone here mentioned the possibility of Schilke making the price of the Helleberg II same as other Schilke tuba mouthpieces, is this going to become reality anytime soon if at all? (If it does become true I think the Helleberg II will quite possibly replace the Conn helleberg as THE
standard mouthpiece!)

The pricing issue could be why they will make the change. What is the difference between the regular Schilke Helleberg and the HII? I have the regular Schilke, which I use on my Helicon.bloke wrote:Why dies it cost so much more anyway?
They are made one-at-a-time with the same sorts of tools that a mouthpiece maker would use to make a one-off (or perhaps a seldom-off) mouthpiece. I have indeed heard strong from-the-source rumors of Schilke moving the H-II over to a "production" mouthpiece...This would (imo) throw a "monkey wrench" in the pricing of a couple of competitors' copies.
