.... for another tuba duet book like Don Butterfield's. SURELY, we know a few composers who could write in this style, don't we?

Try the Walter Sear Advance duets for tuba. Some great stuff there.

My personal favorite duets are a wonderful series of Telemann duets transcribed by my friend David Harris for trombone, published to E & R.
Challenging to play and drop-dead gorgeous.

I have an email in to him to see if they are still in print.

Inspired by Tony, I finished up the first two Etude Books from Don Butterfield this morning. They can be found here:

http://www.cimarronmusic.com/music-tuba.cfm

Some duets by Sean Greene:

Found on the Cimarron link above is also a set from Peter Opaskar and a set I put together from the Handel Flute Sonatas...

The etude books look good. What about the Butterfield Duets, though? They have been out of print for a long time and I lost my copy years--no, decades--ago. I would love to have them again. What is their status? Do they belong to the Harvey Phillips Foundation?

I believe the duets were being produced by John Palatucci on behalf of Don's widow Alice. I am guessing they are still available through the link Ken provided.

I am not aware of the Harvey Phillips Foundation producing anything but Tuba Christmas music. Maybe I am wrong?
