When Mr. Baer was in town earlier this year, I asked him the same question. He had one with him, and he let me look at it while he explained that it played much like the previous model, but with a bit more brightness. He then played on both mouthpieces, and I did notice a bit of a difference. The new model is a bit more shallow than the old one, it seems.
Perhaps if Mr. Baer sees this thread he might be inclined to say a few words on the subject?
