I'm all for getting as many videos of different horns as we can. It's really difficult to describe a sound in words, whereas a video, though far from perfect, can do a much better job. There are plenty of interesting threads and questions out there that would benfit from a few well-produced videos - e.g. German vs. American sound; 4/4 or BAT; Bb vs. CC and so on.

As far as advertising is concerned? I don't know if I would call it that. You put a link out there, you take your chances - I hear a tuba with a big sound and a pretty fair amount of rotor noise. A video demo is another data point. It should take a little more than that to get someone to part with their money.

This wouldn't have to be in the sponsors section if the person doing the demo weren't selling the horns, correct?

Opening the sponsors' section to comments is a good idea! Then all 'netters could post on a thread of interest! Where we draw the line between advertising and informing/sharing affects the legitimacy of this forum. And what does constitute advertising? As an earlier poster asked, what if a post is not by a sponsor? Or should individuals posting demos of horns for sale not be allowed to link outside of the for sale section? I didn't join this group to sell horns, and don't wish to offend anyone. I know not offending ANYONE is probably impossible, but I intend to try...
