Yum! Nothing to be sorry about Jeff. I remember an Indonesian coworker of mine years ago who made them himself and brought them into the shop to share. They were mighty tasty. Jonathan was a blast to work with. Really nice guy.

Jinbao Eb 5v cimbasso - a bargain
Jinbao Eb 6V cimbasso - excellent and out-of-tune
Jinbao F 7V cimbasso - stuffy but superb, 6 of the valves work great

I prefer to buy them from the guy in Iceland. He includes Hetman oil and a Klier mpc.

I have three of each, which I keep stored in lockers below the halls at each of my full-time opera orchestra gigs.

btw, I'm selling six of the cases, if anyone is interested.

By the way, my own brand of Jinbao Eb and F cimbassos will be knows as L&N.

They will have none of the problems associated with anyone else's, and the valves will all go in the same direction, but the opposite direction of other all-in-one-direction instruments. The extra resistance offers a more solid tone. By the way, the valves are pistons.
