PT-4 vs. PT-20?
Was the PT-4 the predecessor to the PT-20? I thought this was the case, but customtubas.com has the PT-4 listed as a separate tuba.

Re: PT-4 vs. PT-20?
The 20 was to replace the 4, but enough people wanted to buy the 4 and the models are different enough that they kept the 4.
Kind of like Miraphone with the 1291 and 1292... The models are different enough that they have both.
(fwiw... i was told this "from the horses mouth")
I am a huge fan of these horns; pt4, pt20, & pt6 (rotary versions). But in my hands I just can't for the life of me get what I want out of them.
I hear Alan Baer has some great tweaks for these horns, anyone have experience with them?
