Hi - I've a student top action 3 valve Bb tuba that needs a new mouthpiece receiver to allow for modern mouthpieces - anyone know where I could get one? Measurements of the instrument at the ready...it's very similar to older 3/4 Conn's...
Thanks!
Alex

Wow, that's some good advice! Kind of makes me wish I needed one but I'll file that in the brain for someday, and hope that it comes back out then. Thanks Bloke

Hey, kids... Note that Joe said a "trashed sousaphone neck".... don't run out and destroy a $100 sousaphone neck. You can purchase a generic tuba mouthpiece receiver for under $15 from most repairman.bloke wrote:..... Troll the local high schools for a trashed Conn sousaphone gooseneck. The receiver consists of two parts: a piece of tubing ("overpart") and the actual receiver itself. Both will unsolder from a destroyed gooseneck tube. ....
