Rock video w/tuba

Post by tubajoe »

Greetings

A video from my rock band New Beard recently debuted on Stereogum.
(New Beard is an indie rock band from Brooklyn that uses tuba as bass)

The track was recorded in Brooklyn, then mixed and produced in Sweden by Gustav Ejstes of the band Dungen. The gorgeous video was done also in Sweden by video artist Jenny Palen.

The track is a preview an upcoming full-length album to be released later in the year.

...How people treat the tuba in post production is always an unknown and huge variable (especially in the rock world, where few understand it - it's a battle I constantly fight) I'm thrilled that Gustav Ejstes, as well as legendary masterer Greg Calbi really got it right and treated the tuba with so much respect here. They kept it up front and warm! Enjoy.

Hey Joe
Nice track! I'm impressed. You've done pretty well for yourself for a guy from Denver who wanted to play bari sax.
Our former teacher in Greeley sends his regards.
As for me I'm the guy at the music store you used to bug, and also a tuba player.
