Tuba fanfares

Post by Chadtuba »

Do any of you out there have sheet music for any of these sousaphone fanfare/battle things all over youtube? Sonic Boom, Snake Pit, Tank, anything else? I've googled and all I can find are the ones on youtube and I'm too lazy, er I mean busy, to write it out myself

Thanks.

Instead of writing out, listen to it with headphones and your instrument then pause every few seconds to get the notes. Then memorize. Once you find the key, it becomes alot easier. Only takes about 10-15 per song, depending on skill and knowledge of keys. My high school section used to play these when I was there and it was all from memory.

Hope this helps!

There are some fanfares in the showcase section of Finale another handy source are screen captures from YouTube clips that show the midi player.
Cant carry a tune but I can carry a tuba.

I have copies of all of those and a few others. If I can find them I'll gladly send them to you.

I also have a bunch more in Sibelius format or midi if you need it, just send me a PM or email
I have gotten most of mine from your page there, I didn't realize that it was your's until now.

Anyway http://musescore.com/sheetmusic has a good amount of music for about any instrument you can think of, including a few dozen tuba fanfares, best of all it is completely free for now
