The Man with the BIG Horn.....

Post by bisontuba »

Hi-
Listened to a dress rehearsal of Prokofiev 5 with the Buffalo Philharmonic this morning with Don playing a borrowed 5 valve 6/4 BBb Rudi MONSTER.....it sounds like a pipe organ--the tubing is humongous coming out of the tuning slide--it's a beast--Don sounds great on it...

I never understood "borrowing" outside of close friends. Trials either, especially that guy who had my simple, stock bass trombone for close to two weeks, I think. Anyways, big horn!
