Interestingly enough, there were just a batch of King fiberglass sousies on Ebay in very similar condition - they each ended up going for around $300. My guess is that these will get a bit more, as they will clean up nicer. What do you think the dollar amount in repairs would be (on average) to get the replacement buttons, re-solder the instruments, etc.?

What should a used and repaired sousaphone end up going for?

I cannot comment on the specs at present, as I am away without access to my catalogues. However I can say the brass one I sell is a real nice player, although heavy. However I do have an all fiberglass sousaphone on route from factory for an Irish band. A third option (which I have on order) is fiberglass with brass bell, which should lighten, but hopefully keep best sound.

For that Thomann sousaphone - I really don't know how they can possibly sell so cheap???
