Got Bluebeard coming up. Do I need a good book, or to get woodshedding?
If it's naughty, does anyone have a part PDF-able for some pre-gig practice?

If I remember correctly, it's not a great tuba part, say like any Prokofiev symphony. You will need to keep your wits about you though. What I remember most about performing it was looking at the back of it and noticing it was signed "Gene Pokorny - Saint Louis Symphony". I've still got that scan with my signature along side his, somewhere

Peach — I played it a very long time ago, and although it's a bit hazy, I don't recall anything particularly difficult in the part. That could be because it was part of a triple opera bill; Bluebeard, Wooden Prince, and Miraculous Mandarin, with Mandarin being enough of a challenge to make the rest of the program seem easy. Bluebeard is on YouTube by Solti and the London Phil. It is in sections of course, but it appears to all be there. The opera is slightly less than an hour in length, and it is a really good theater piece. Enjoy!
