Michael died Tuesday, 9/18, apparently after a brief illness. He lived Clearwater, FL, was a native of Ft Wayne IN and attended Ball State. I said it on Facebook and elsewhere, it really sucks to see things like this, and have the regret of never meeting the person in person.
But, thanks for your electronic friendship, MG, and your wisdom and smart-a$$ comments.
Funeral services have not been announced as yet.
RIP Michael Grogg

I don't think he was here, Elephant. He was on TubaEuph, and on Facebook.

Re: RIP Michael Grogg
Michael was a friend of mine and a former student. A fine, soft-spoken gentleman who built tuba and euph mutes back in the 1970s. I've tried many mutes since he built one for me but never found one that gave the sound or response of his. I think of him every time I use his mute, and now those thoughts will contain a sense of loss.

Re: RIP Michael Grogg
It is sad to see any tuba-playing brethren pass away: many condolences.
