is this the right mouthpiece for this euphonium

Does this mouthpiece look to be the right size for this euphonium.??I got this euphonium off ebay ....It is an "Academy"....brand.....I got the mouthpiece separately.It is a Schilke 50 ,I think it may be a medium shank,but I don't really know...and I think the shank is too small , goes in too far..??? Seems thin sounding as well...

That looks about right. A regular mouthpiece of the right size will enter the instrument 1" in depth.

The right mouthpiece for a euphonium will be what works best for you. A larger mouthpiece might be worth a try. As said in another thread by Bloke, a Schilke 52E2 can be a decent euphonium mouthpiece.
