Mouthpiece Advice?
My friend gave me a UMI 24 AW. I Haven`t heard of it till yesterday. I haven`t played it yet neither, but has anyone played one. He told me its similar to a Bach 24 AW.

best advice, try it and see if you like it. Some people here think that the 24AW is a great mouthpiece, some it is the worst thing ever, you need to make up your own mind

Generally, if a tuba mouthpiece has a number common to Bach, it will be "similar" to a Bach. If it's a 7, 18, 22, 24AW, 25, 30, tuba mouthpiece it likely is close to the mouthpiece of that number by Bach. Gross generality, but it fits. Someone will, I'm sure, point out a flaw in this generality. Fine.
