If you like the 45SLP with the exception of the span required to play it, be aware that the 5th valve mechanism can easily be replaced with one from a 2155/2000. The thumb ring is mounted on (I think) part of the 4th valve tubing and the valve paddle comes out right in the middle of the valve set...exactly like the 2155,2000,and 2165 tubas I've played.Brit wrote:
