Trombone help on a tuba/euph bored

Howdy Gang;

This is one of my few posts but I am looking for some help. I have a getzen custom series tenor bone and I just got my leather slide hand guards and am trying to put them on with no avail. Griego sent me some directions but they are really no help. These are the kind you have to lace up that is why I am having a problem. Any help you guys and gals can give me would be most appreciated. Thanks a whole lot.
