? - Am Neckar Op. 73-Tuba Solo

Post by kathott »

Hello. I had a copy of this old time solo years ago, given to me by my first teacher. It is listed as "out of print" on the JW Pepper web site.
Can anyone assist?
Thank you.

Looks like a 120 years old edition for solo cornet with orchestra or band. Alternatively for Bb Tenorhorn or trombone with band.

It is not on IMSLP as far as I can see. Best hope may being lucky and find it in a library.

Well, since "Am Neckar" would most likely refer to on, or along the Neckar River in Germany, you may have your best chance of finding a copy of this piece by contacting publishers, players, or universities in Der Vaterland. Heidelberg, Germany is located on the banks of the Neckar, FWIW.

Happy hunting,

The above link hints that the edition was Schmidt in Heilbronn. Again Edition Thompson may be the place to go due to their expertise in brass music.

That would make sense, as Heilbronn is also "Am Neckar", to the southeast.

The tuba version seems to have been published after the other versions:

Good luck! :)
