Mirafone 1291 vs Cerveny 693

Hi,

Has anyone that is familiar with the Big Cerveny 693 also played the Mirafone 1291 or a Chinese clone of it? I am curious what the comparison is like. Please do not comment on the difference between piston and rotary valves. I am more interested in the playing characteristics of each horn. Is the Mirafone more manageable? I enjoyed the Cerveny but found it a little more difficult to play cleanly on. Just a very big horn. I loved it for concert band settings but not for smaller group settings. With the slightly smaller bell size how does the Mirafone compare? I would appreciate you sharing your thoughts. Thanks. David
