Tuba Quartet Literature Suggestions
I am coaching a high school tuba-euphonium quartet that will be performing at an ensemble festival. I am looking for literature suggestions. The actual instrumentation will be three baritones and one tuba, so the first tuba part can't go too low too often. Grade 3-4 literature for this group. Thanks.

You might check out some of John Stevens music if you think your students can handle it. His music is a ton of fun. It's mostly for 2 tuba's and 2 euphoniums but you can put your 3rd euph on the bass tuba part for a lot of his stuff.

I don't know about music grades for quartet lit, but I know a couple of these guys here in Chapel Hill: http://triangletubas.com/soundbytes.htm
They have a link to a music publisher at the bottom of the page I'm linking from their website.
It's easy enough to select 'Tuba Quartet (EETT)' on the pull-down on the publisher's page and take a look at the variety of sheet music available. I would imagine that you can have the 3rd Euph read the 1st Tuba line (that part is usually written for F tuba so it's not ideal, but it should work).
You may also want to e-mail them for other tips. They're a great bunch of guys. I think Jack Denniston is a member here on Tubenet too.

Thank you "opus37" and "NCSUSousa". The Cimerron website was particularly helpful! - George
