Hi-
Today it was sunny and in the low 50's--a really nice 'good day.'
Tomorrow we have a Blizzard Warning with 10-17" of snow, wind gusts over 45 mph, severe drifting, zero visibility, and a low of 5 degrees with wind chills way below zero.....oh goody....

I guess it's all relative. Today I:
- Flew 160 happy people from Florida (75 degrees) to New York (60 degrees)
- No snow, no ice, no thunderstorms, no turbulence
- Made a smooth landing, but no one noticed (or at least didn't comment)
- Flew 150 happy people from New York to Costa Rica (70 degrees)
- No snow, no ice, no thunderstorms, no turbulence
- Made a smooth landing, but no one noticed (or at least didn't comment)
- May actually get 8 hours of sleep before I get up to fly back to New York (40 degrees and rain)
- Got to spend 15 minutes doing mouthpiece drills in my hotel room
- Can't wait to get to play my tuba again!

Well, took my sis out to the track so she can practice running since she has a district meet next week. She's slow lol.

Recorded some stuff today, really digging funk, been digging it for a while so that's what I've been focusing on playing, nothing loud or aggressive, just laying out dat' bass line.

Worked out today too. Upper body, was a pain in the butt. But mu bench press has improved a good bit.

Good stuff. Need to start chick-hunting soon...

Got a morning work out in, several errands run, a dog walk and a sit in the yard in 55 degree sunshine with a good friend, played my tuba, put some finishing touches on an arrangement for the tuba ensemble, spent some time on my deck, and went to CostCo. It was a good day!

NOT

Took the dog to the Forest Preserve to get in 5 miles before the blizzard was suppose to show up tonight. Got back to the SUV right at dusk -just as it starts to sleet. Open lift gate - dog jumps in - go to lower lift gate - SNAP / POP / BANG - and WTF - complete weld failure where top of right side lift-gate strut attaches to top of lift-gate - so now it won't close because strut is fully extended and top is wedged between top of vehicle and lift-gate. Now what - as it can't be driven like this with gate in full up position extending 4-5 feet up over vehicle and capable of collapse at the first pot hole. So in the dark and the weather rapidly deteriorating I'm in an empty FP parking lot and holding full size suv rear hatch open with one arm - hoping other side strut doesn't collapse and trying to free busted strut from its wedged position and then yank it off the ball socket in the bottom position without losing a hand so I can close it. Finally after 10 minutes of all out war and brute strength I tear it off and close gate for the 10 mile ride home in the sleet.

Thank you Made in America Ford. :x

:( Someone returned a tuba that I had sold to them.

:D I sold it in haste, regretted selling it as soon as I shipped it off, and am *very* happy to see it back. I'll sell a different one.

This pic made my day. Awesome.
