gigs in omaha Nebraska

I mentioned in another thread that I am planning on moving to omaha nebraska. What I did not ask is how is the music scene there? As to paying gigs who did I chat with? How strong is the union? Whats the amature community band situation. All comments regarding the omaha and outlying areas. (Lincoln etc) would be great.

Hello! My buddy is up there. I believe he still teaches at the local university. Look him up. He's a helluva musician and an even better person.
