Interest in Central Florida Area Warm-up class?

Post by Chris Olka »

Hey guys and gals, I've got a family visit scheduled in Central Florida during the first week of July. I've had a lot of requests to let folks know when I'm down there for lessons etc. I can't keep track of everyone that has asked me to let them know so here's a shout-out/heads-up.

If anyone is interested in lining up a venue for a group warmup class or masterclass pm me. I'd also like to see if anyone has a piston CC of 5/4 or larger preferred for borrow/renting while I'm down there. I've got big shows with Seattle Symphony right after I return from the trip so have to keep my chops together. Of course...beer will be included...

I know, I know. Shameless plug, but you folks that have asked me to let em know, here you go. I'd love to connect with you guys, time permitting.

Thanks a million,
Chris Olka

You can rent my 4/4 Nirschl if you'd like. We've got 2 or 3 guys interested in Tampa right now.

Thanks for posting about this Chris!

Thanks John. Not ignoring you, just trying to see what we can scare up, if there's interest. I'll let you know.

I may be interested. Where, specifically, in Florida are we talking about? I'm in Saint Augustine but would be willing to travel some. Feeling left out for having missed ITEC.

Anyone in the area should jump on this. Not only is Chris a really nice guy; he is one of the best orchestral tuba players in the world.
