tuba players unite! Delano, MN 4th of July parade

Post by donteatwheat »

Looking for 20 to 30 sousaphone players to form a marching band to perform in the Delano, MN 4th of July parade. This is a publicity stunt for U.S. senate candidate Tom Books. Time is of the essence! ps also looking for a few percussionists for a nice street beat.

Web page pending. running as an independence party candidate. grassroots campaign, I am Books, employed as a pharmacist. Tired of the current system, gridlock, trying to bring common sense and unity back into politics. Have nutritional expertise and know how to reduce healthcare expenses and need a public forum to spread correct nutritional information.

Sounds like fun, but I have a previous engagement for the 4th. You said you want Sousa's, does that mean you discriminate against helicons?

I also failed to mention that when I was in the Eau Claire Memorial High School band the tuba section was known as the Awesome 8 and we would march around the perimeter of the basketball court at halftime, we played On Wisconsin and the Budweiser theme song (times have sure changed). (class of 1978) I am sure I can still play, might even be able to find my Bach mouthpiece

Well, if you can't find it, there are plenty of TubeNetters who can supply you.

This sounds like an interesting project- let us know how it works out- video clips if you can. I'm already playing on the 4th, otherwise I might take you up on it.
