Just saw this on ebay! Looks really big... and seems to have a lot of tubing for a 3 valve.
What is this?

This is a Couesnon EEb tuba (genuine EEb, not just a 4v Eb). It used to be in the Boosey and Hawkes collection, and is now at the Horniman museum. They have it catalogued as a bass tuba. Go figure.

I think the kid is kneeling on a fake rock behind the tuba, and not actually in the bell (in the original picture, there's a foot sticking out to the right of the bell)
