A guy plays 'prepared tuba' with a sax mouthpiece (and possibly muted); there is a small crowd on all sides - looks like an avant garde type event with bits of percussion all over the place iirc.
It is a serious piece but is pretty funny partly because of the experimental nature of the music but also the guy's glasses fall down his face at times. He is a middle-aged guy and I remember he is a known player of experimental music but can't remember his name. I think European (but not Oren Marshall...).
Any ideas?? Please post links or PM!
Thanks,
Peach

Thanks for the reply, but not Melvyn. This guy is older with a pretty 'lived-in' face(!). He plays a rotary valve F tuba, maybe a B&S I *think*.

I think this is the clip you're looking for. It's Zdzislav Piernik performing Piernikiana by Szalonek.

Jeff - thanks for that.
Right guy, different clip - just as great though!
Here's the one I was thinking of:

It's like Jeff's in that he moves to Bari sax mouthpiece as well as a bassoon reed setup simultaneously through different slides...
The reeded stuff starts just after 2:20 if anyone cares
