Bionic conn eb

Post by brassbow »

I have a 1926 conn 2j eb that I am thinking on having rebuilt replated refinished etc. Right now it sounds great. The silver is almost gone and is very tarnished on what remains. Only small dents in the bottom bow. All slides move great compression ( very worn but a repair guy was surprised that they are still tight. So will it help or hinder to have it made like new?

Think about what you posted: the only real problem is the cosmetic, not the functional: very few dents, good compression on the valves, plays well. As the saying goes, if it ain't broke, don't fix it.
