This CD appeared unbidden in my mail a couple of weeks ago, so I should say something about it in payment for the enjoyment I've gotten for free. There is a lot of impressive, technical tuba playing here, and a nice sound. He makes his Yamaha F sound like a contrabass, which I like.
He is a former student of Rex Martin, among others.
Most of the music was new to me. I'm not personally a big fan of music that goofs around with vocalizing through the instrument and using the valves as drums, and there is some of that here. But when he plays straight, it's very enjoyable, I think.
