This is indeed sad news and quite shocking.

Prayers to his family.

Reading the email this morning really shook me. What a loss. I reckon I'm going to drive up there on Friday afternoon.

Is this the Kelly Thomas that was in the army band and became a soloist back in the '90's? Had a gold accent silver Yamaha 621 f tuba?

I think you are thinking of Kelly O'Bryant.

I was shocked to hear this news. I just saw Kelly at TMEA this past Feb. I got to hear him, hang with him a little and chat. My thoughts are with his family at this sad time.

There is a Thomas Family Fund setup by Kelly's wife, Jana. If anyone could please help donate anything to help out Jana and their 4 children, anything will help them through this very terrible time. https://www.giveforward.com/fundraiser/ ... _ref=0&t=3
