Re: American Horn Quartet
They came to CCM a few months ago to give a masterclass and a recital afterwards. I was blown away! Fantastic group of musicians who love their craft.

Yes, the concert I attended was the next to last. The last will be at the International Horn Symposium in L.A. in a couple of days.imperialbari wrote:I read somewhere that they will retire this fall.

Re: American Horn Quartet
I attended an AHQ workshop in 2008. The workshop was fantastic and the AHQ was absolutely amazing. I took a lesson from their low horn player, Charles Putnam. It was amazing at how well Charles could play down in the basement. I learned so much at the workshop and I am really sad to hear that they are retiring this year. If you haven't heard any of their recordings, I highly recommend! I have almost all of their recordings and I absolutely love them!
