Advise on tuba stands

Not quite sure if you are talking "stand" or "rests"
I use the BBC tuba rest. I do like the legs that lay flat on the floor so as not to get my feet tangled with them. My only grouse is that it could stand to go about 2 inches lower. When using certain horns with high mouthpipes, and those 'ridiculous' metal folding chairs supplied at certain venues. If the seat is too low, then the mp winds up being at my forehead. I often wind up using an extra seat elevator made from a few pieces of wood to raise my butt up a couple of inches. But that is a nuisance. Someday I just need to take the BBC stand to a machinist and have him cut the blame thing. But in a perfect world I do love the BBC stand and use it regularly with 4/4 tubas and upward.

I guess we're talking rests. No counting..... Someone mentioned a tuba table to me but I can't find it.

Depending upon how tall you are and how high the leadpipe, the BBC stand might be tall enough; you should find someone who has one and try it with your horn. I do remember that K&M stands come in the regular and in the tall size for standing. I don't know if they go low enough to sit, as even their regular one needs to be routinely cut down a couple inches to be useful sitting. Plus, the legs are ridiculously high, a true trip hazard, and it is very heavy.
