Re: Hairbrush in the Tuba?
I saw that article several days ago.
As I read it, I said to myself, "There must be a deeper story between the lines".

"Even a broken clock is right twice a day".

Well, at least that guy (presumably) still had hair to brush.
Stories about stuff found in tubas can be pretty interesting/twisted/funny. The only other thread I know of on the topic is here:

Re: Hairbrush in the Tuba?
I know a great one about the late Keith Mehlan (Navy band). His tuba sounded fine at the start of rehearsals and would get more stuffy as he played. After he passed, his family picked up the horn and noticed a rattle. They turned it over, and a wooden toy train popped out that they think was swelling up as he played.

Re: Hairbrush in the Tuba?
I had to read that about 3 times before I understood the scenario completely... not very well written.
Interesting story though. I'm sure TONS of things like this (and worse) have happened over the last 100 years, but in pre-blog days, no one bothered to share them with anyone else. Not sure if that's good or bad. Just sayin.'
