Hi all-
I just acquired a 1920s Martin jumbo-sized (26" bell) sousaphone.
She's in great shape, gold wash and all; thought I'd share a pic.
Here she is next to my beloved small Martin (20" bell) from the 30s.
I bought the small one from Martin Wilk and it is a truly spectacular instrument.
If I'm ever stupid enough to sell that one, I suggest paying me pretty much whatever I ask.
Don't count on that happening, though...
cheers-
Jim

Re: sousa dorn - old Martins (jumbo and mini)
Thanks for sharing this. I have a Martin medium (currently for sale) that has a 24" bell. Now I know why it is called a medium.
